A lens into the Jewish heritage

Violins of Hope

Inviting people of all backgrounds to learn, listen, and love.

This exhibit previously ran at the Maltz Museum in my hometown of Cleveland from November 2015-January 2016, and I am hoping it will return someday.

The museum hopes to educate and teach society about the Jewish heritage and is open to everyone.  This exhibit displays a collection of restored violins that were played and used by Jewish musicians during the Nazi regime and World War II. According to the Museum, which as a whole tries to "foster a more inclusive tomorrow for everyone," Violins of Hope "illustrates both the strength of the human spirit and the power of music." My goal was to create advertisements were inclusive and universally engaging.

Purposeful Design

I created three sizes of banner advertisements that could appear on websites such as news outlets, community pages, and tourism websites. Although the museum hopes to educate and teach society about the Jewish heritage, it is open to all viewers and individuals. I wanted to ensure the language on the advertisements were inclusive, engaging universal. Along with banner advertisements, I created two designs that could appear as pop-ups covering the entirety of an iPhone screen.
